Ricky who? I am this guy.
Hello! I’m Ricky Phillips.

Common name, uncommon results. Straight to the point, I am a one man shop. I work on projects on part-time basis, but I’ve got full-time skills. I’m in my fifth year of teaching at the Career Academy in Lincoln, NE.

What I offer, and why you care.
What I offer you, is an incredibly personal experience with no excuses. I am the design, heavy lifting, parts, welding, and paint/patina guy. I would like to hyper focus on building incredibly unique and special pieces that fit your home or space perfectly. I have loads of experience in construction & mechanical welding, miscellaneous fabrication, and metal finishing. I always loved art classes and I played the trombone all the way through high school. I don’t say it lightly, but I am a rough around the edges renaissance man.
I have a limited space to work with. I am incredibly resourceful in the use of this space. If it is single piece construction I would say I am limited to anything that fits into a 10’x10’x10′ cube. For the right job though, if it can be compartmentalized into “chunks” my abilities increase. This will be addressed on a case to case basis. Overall if it fits into your home, and is portable/movable I most probably can do it.

I genuinely love to design/brainstorm and build. I love to airbrush and apply finishes. At this time I have to sub-out larger painted items. My space simply doesn’t allow for the finish you deserve. This is a case by case basis. I am capable of a lot, but I am aware of my limitations. I will be upfront with you about all of this.
I think there are more positives than negatives working with a one man shop. If you find the right person to work with. Simple conversations will bring our two puzzle pieces together and we’ll make something awesome together. Not only will you get something truly unique and perfectly tailored to your space. You are supporting a small business, that only buys domestic materials when possible.
